Pandemic Protocols

We love and respect the vulnerable people and health care workers in our communities, and continue to take the following steps out of solidarity.

  • Limited in-person appointments: In-person consultations are limited to an hour (pre-pandemic these appointments often lasted two hours). Follow up virtual appointments are held to finish details and/or finalize orders if needed. Please come to your appointment alone, unless your guest is needed for medical reasons.

  • Virtual fittings: Depending on your needs, we are offering brief in-person or virtual fittings to assess the fit of your custom garments and begin alterations

  • Sanitary practices: buffer time is built into our online booking platform to allow proper time to sanitize and disinfect the space between appointments

  • Air purification: our Showroom is equipped with a Levoit HEPA Air Purifier capable of filtering particles 0.1 microns in size, making it effective against airborne viruses and bacteria

  • Appropriate face-coverings: clients (and Duchess staff) are asked to wear a mask for the duration of their in-person appointments (provided by Duchess if needed)

  • Contact-free payment: we are not accepting cash at this time or processing cards in person, clients will be invoiced for their orders allowing them to pay securely online or over the phone

  • Contact-free pick-up or shipping: we are offering contact-free Showroom pick-up or complimentary shipping for completed garments

  • Suspended browsing hours: Friday & Saturday browsing hours are suspended until further notice, and clients are permitted into our Showroom by appointment only

  • Working remotely: our team is supported and equipped to work from home at least 1 day a week to reduce the amount of staff members in the Showroom at any given time

  • Support: our team is available by phone or email Tuesday-Saturday 10 am-5 pm to answer any questions or concerns you may have, we are here to help and make this process as smooth as possible!
